Our Finest Hour?
““That could never happen. This is the U.S.A.” ”
The world is getting its eyes opened. Nation by nation, kingdom by kingdom, the powers of evil have been working quite secretly to secure power and bring the world into chaos and darkness. It's like in the great movies, only it's real.
But can we handle this much reality?
Like our heroes, could this be our finest hour?
"Now the whole world lies under the power of the evil one."
-1 John 5:19
Read Genesis. Or Revelation. Or anything in between. Jesus comforted us that we should not be surprised or perplexed. But we are at war.
There are only 2 kingdoms of lasting significance in the story of God and the US of A is not one of them. Our vulnerable nation is under attack by spiritual forces of darkness just like all its companions and every preceding nation. But this epic love story we were born into is now progressing before our eyes at breakneck speed. We must quickly find our position. A few simple questions will help.
From what have we been rescued? Is it not from the same spiritual forces inciting all this violence?
"For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves" -Colossians 1:13
And for what purpose have we been set free? Is it not to help Jesus accomplish his mission?
"The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil."
-1 John 3:8
We must not forget, ever.
Those of us in Christ are already free and powerful, presently in training for our future roles as rulers over this soon-to-be-restored broken down mess. God, His reputation and His people are the real targets. Those presently with the appearance of power are puppets.
As God's ambassadors, His intimate allies, the children of light, we get to walk in supernatural discernment and strength, not wavering or cowering. We are the loved ones well-equipped and provided for. We are the sons promised the hidden manna, supernatural protection and God's intimate counsel.
We cannot afford to take the sidelines waiting this storm out under a spirit of fear or fog. We must not carry the Name of the Lord our God in vain. This is our appointed time to wage a good war and engage with heavenly violence.
Please Stand Up Now and Fight.
Do not pray for a man to be installed but pray for a great spiritual awakening.
Pray for God's Kingdom to be revealed, to prevail in men’s hearts and that righteous character would be celebrated again.
Pray for God's sons and daughters to mature and reflect the perfect character of Christ in all we say and do.
Pray for those who hate you and have set themselves against you while having no bitterness in your heart toward them.
Pray that those whose hearts have been darkened and whose eyes have been blinded would wake up to know the truth.
Pray evil-doers, their lies and deeds be exposed. Pray that -
"Whoever digs a pit will fall into it, And he who rolls a stone
will have it roll back on him."
-Proverbs 26:27
Please pray fervently and frequently as the Holy Spirit inside you leads, confident that -
"The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective."
- James 5:16
Be powerful and be at peace. Your Father is securely on the throne.

and the peoples plot in vain?

the Lord scoffs at them.
5 He rebukes them in his anger
and terrifies them in his wrath, saying,
6 “I have installed my king
on Zion, my holy mountain.”
7 I will proclaim the Lord’s decree:
He said to me, “You are my son;
today I have become your father.
8 Ask me,
and I will make the nations your inheritance,
the ends of the earth your possession.
9 You will break them with a rod of iron;
you will dash them to pieces like pottery.”
10 Therefore, you kings, be wise;
be warned, you rulers of the earth.
11 Serve the Lord with fear
and celebrate his rule with trembling.
12 Kiss his son, or he will be angry
and your way will lead to your destruction,
for his wrath can flare up in a moment.
