TRAILHEAD EXPEDITIONS

Outfitting fathers and sons to take the tried and true road together.

Making Men of Sons and Sons of Men.

Every man wants to be confident he has what it takes to navigate life, but sadly, few men do. We live in a culture that has forgotten how to raise boys into authentic men. God did not create us in His image to become merely followers. He created us to be His sons.

How would you live differently if you truly knew God was your good Father?

Come find out.

DESCRIPTION:

Being Sons is pleased to offer the “Trailhead Expedition”, a unique 5-day/4-night one-on-one father + son experience. This expedition is crafted to equip fathers and sons (age 14+) to clearly see and share the reliable path to manhood, a journey that bonds fathers and sons together on common life-mission.

This journey will help both you and your son become the man you most want to be.

grow close through an adventure together

“When my son turned twelve I had no idea how to raise him into a good man...

and that scared me. That’s when God began to father us both. Since that difficult season a decade ago, so much has changed. Now, seeing my son love well and look to God as Father is one of my greatest joys. I want to help you and your son both experience God as your Father, reveal God’s proven path to manhood, and equip you to take this incredible journey together, as sons."

- Jay Heck (and son Baer), Being Sons Director

 DETAILS

This trip is a one-on-one adventure for fathers (or father figures) to have with sons (or spiritual sons) and is limited to 7 father/son pairs. While the backdrop for this weekend is adventure there will be no activities that require s serious level of fitness. That said, do not expect this to be easy at all. Two men paddling a kayak together for 20+ miles of river in possible headwinds is anything but easy. But it’s nothing that can’t be handled with a humble and adventurous spirit. Participation in even the hardest parts is mandatory because there is no backing out in the middle of nowhere.

Trailhead Cost includes: All campsite fees, great cooked meals and snacks, all basic gear including sleeping bag + high quality insulated sleeping pad, tents, inflatable canoes, professional guide(s) for adventures, and all presentations and materials.
